Bachmann bids for Northlink contract
The Bachmann Group has reached agreement with Streamline Shipping, one of Scotland’s leading, privately owned freight and logistics operators to work together on the bid to operate the Northern Isles ferry contract, awarded by the Scottish Government from October 2019.The Bachmann Group if successful with the bid, would be contracted to provide Operational / Technical Management as well as Crew Management for the 5 ship fleet.
Commenting on the bid, Nick Saul, Bachmann Group CEO said "We are delighted to be working with Streamline Shipping, a company I have known for many years. For a number of years when the Northlink brand was first created, I enjoyed working as their Operations Director and during my time I learnt much about the routes, the ships and the islands of Orkney and Shetland and I am looking forward to working on this project"
