Changes to the Guernsey Aircraft Registry

The States of Guernsey has this week passed the Aviation Registry (Guernsey) (Amendment) Ordinance 2016.

This new law allows commercial aircraft to be registered for commercial as well as private purposes.  A further amendement to the Air Navigation (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2012 now allows for the issue of an air operators licence from Guernsey.

Air operators certificates are required under international law for aircraft used for the purpose of commercial air transport.  These new laws come into effect from the 8th March 2016.
