Guernsey Office

Payroll Administrators

We currently have multiple payroll administrator roles available from junior level to experienced. The role will see you responsible for data inputting and reconciliation of payrolls, liaising with employees and clients on contractual and employment issues, producing and processing all relevant employment documents and making payments.

You must possess strong organisational, numerical and communication skills. Ideally you will be adept to working in a methodical, accurate and efficient manner whilst meeting deadlines within a pressurised environment. Experience in personnel administration preferred but not required. We require all candidates to have a GCSE Level C or equivalent in English and Maths.

On the job training will be provided with the opportunity for progression within the Payroll department. This role is offered with a competitive salary and benefits and the potential for flexible working hours.

UK Office

Assistant Harbour Master

We are looking for someone to join our Bachmann Ports team as an Assistant Harbour Master.

The requirement is for a seagoing qualification, not necessarily as Master. This role is working for Bachmann Ports in support of the Port of Tilbury, London.  

We require a suitable qualified person who has served at sea and posses a nautical qualification to join a skilled team working and controlling harbour operations at the port.  This job will be to lead the team of contracted staff working at the port and to act as deputy to the Harbour Master.

The Port of Tilbury is expanding rapidly and the role will encompass the operation of the original locked port as well as Tilbury 2, the new ro/ro facility on the Thames

This job commands a competitive salary and benefits.  It is a 9-5, Monday to Friday position that will require some occasional overtime.
