Liz Powell

HR and Operations Director

Liz has been with BachmannHR since 2006 and began her Bachmann journey in the support services department, before moving into the payroll team. In 2011, Liz was promoted to Senior HR Advisor and then progressed into the role of HR Manager in 2015, before becoming HR Director for the Group in October 2016. Liz is responsible for all HR matters for both Bachmann Group and all of our clients, as well as making sure the company is fully compliant for MLC purposes. With her flexible approach to HR issues, Liz has developed strong working relati­on­ships with clients and crew members to ensure that all parties’ requirements are met.

In addition to working primarily in HR, Liz also works closely with the Personnel Team in order to ensure that we have efficient and effective working practices between departments so that we can continue to offer the best possible service to our clients.

Since taking post as HR Director, she has also worked closely with our Finance Director, Carl Gardner, to restructure and change the culture of our office to create cohesion across all departments and bring a fresh approach to maintaining morale and work -life balance, whilst maintaining client satisfaction levels at their optimum.

Throughout Liz’s extensive HR career, she has attained her CIPD Level 5 and also holds a Diploma in Employment Law and Certificate in HR Practices. Furthermore, Liz is also currently studying for a Diploma in Law.

Prior to joining BachmannHR Group, Liz was HR Supervisor for a large fulfilment company and during this time completed her Certificate in Human Resources Practices. Before this, she worked for a large retail organisation for 12 years and upon leaving she was in a HR Supervisor position.

In her spare time, Liz is heavily involved with the local Athletics Club and is their HR and Operations Director. She also enjoys festival life and you will often see her with her friends and family at various parties in the park.
