Secret Yachting Paradise: Part Two
Welcome to the second part of our 'Secret Paradise' feature, where we reveal some of the best spots on the planet to visit in your yacht.
Sveti Stefan, Montenegro
Known as the 'shining star' of Montenegro, Sveti Stefan is one of the most picturesque fishing ports in Europe. It is linked to the mainland by a beach-like isthmus and has been graced with the presence of many A-listers from Sophia Loren to Kirk Douglas. Many people compare the aesthetic of the resort to the French Riviera of the 1960s though it was recently reimagined as a top-class boutique village by luxury operator Aman. Superyacht guests can look forward to olive wood fired rotisserie delights, followed by classy cocktails and Cuban cigars. Be sure to moor up at Miločer beach, which is delightfully backed by lush forests of cedar and mimosa.
Gulf Islands, Canada
Located to the far west of British Columbia, there are more than 40,000 islands here just waiting to be discovered along more than 25,000 km of coastline. From the bridge or deck of your superyacht, you can see glaciers, icebergs and the majestic snow-topped summits of the imposing, ever-present mountains. If you fancy stepping off your yacht for something more adventurous, join a crew-led kayak expedition to spot orcas, seals, otters and whales.
Aland Archipelago, Finland
Crystal clear seas surround the 6,500+ islands that make up Finland's Aland Archipelago. If you want remote, private and unspoilt, this deserted stretch of Baltic coastline is definitely the place to be. Explore to your heart's content by breaking out your yacht's paddleboards!
