Setting Sail for the Monaco Yacht Show!

The collective eyes of the superyacht community will be focused squarely on Monaco next week as it's time for the globally renowned Monaco Yacht Show! Rightly described as 'an essential event for superyachting aficionados', the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) takes place every year and welcomes thousands of interested people from all over the world. Representatives from Bachmann Group are excitedly preparing to visit the show, helping us to keep our finger firmly on the dynamic pulse of the yachting industry.

The first MYS took place in 1991 and was founded by Maurice Cohen, a French entrepreneur. Monaco is the ideal location for the event as the small yet thriving principality has always been a playground for the elite and has a strong historic association with yachting. As glamorous and elegant as the yachts that attend MYS, Monaco is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world.

The 2024 MYS will be the 33rd edition of the event, which has taken place every year since its inception apart from 2020, when COVID 19 was at its height. More than 120 of the world's newest superyachts and 60 tenders will be on display, along with a superb selection of luxury cars. The average length of the vessels in attendance is 50 metres but by far the largest yacht on display at MYS 2024 (and one that our team simply can't wait to see!) is Kismet.

Kismet was delivered by German shipyard Lürssen and, launched this year, measures an impressive 122 metres in length. She boasts a sturdy yet attractive superstructure made using aluminium and steel and has a comfortable cruising speed of 13 knots, though can hit 19 knots at top speed. Her spacious interior, which is styled by the UK's Reymond Langton Design, provides space for up to 12 guests along with a crew of 36.

While on board, Kismet offers plenty of luxurious amenities for her guests to enjoy. These include a gymnasium, fast wifi, a beach club, air conditioning, elevators, a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon and a large dancefloor. There's also a superlative selection of water toys including jet skis, SEABOBs, four tenders and even a submarine!

While at the MYS 2024, representatives from Bachmann Group will have a unique opportunity to meet, network and share information with professionals from across the industry, including maritime brokers, yacht builders, equipment manufacturers, market experts, naval architects and superyacht designers. Everything they learn will be used to improve our suite of yacht services for our customers.
