Bachmann Group to Sponsor Maritime UK's 'Employer of the Year' Award

The second Maritime UK Awards event is due to take place in November 2020. Bachmann Group is extremely proud to announce that we have been selected to sponsor the Employer of the Year category at the event.

Maritime UK is an umbrella body, which brings together the many industries that make up the maritime sector: these industries include shipping, ports, engineering, services and leisure. Together, maritime industries create and support well over one million jobs, adding more than £46 BILLION to the economy each year (more than rail and air combined) and facilitating a massive 95% of UK global trade. The stated purpose of Maritime UK is to 'champion and enable a thriving maritime sector'.

The location chosen for the second Maritime UK Awards event is Plymouth, for centuries a hub of marine activity. In this area, maritime contributes around £3.8bn to the UK economy, providing over 108,000 jobs. Any money generated from the awards event will be immediately reinvested into Maritime UK's several cross-sector initiatives, such as careers, trade promotion and Women in Maritime.
