Though Bachmann Group is a major provider of marine services to the global community, our roots lie in Guernsey where our company was founded in 1974 and is headquartered to this day. For over 45 years, we have been assisting yachts and their crews visiting the beautiful islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm.

Guernsey, along with the other neighbouring Channel Islands, have a great deal to offer to visiting yachts and their crews. As a Crown Dependency, Guernsey is not a part of the UK and has never been a member of the European Union. This independent status brings with it a host of benefits, such as tax-free marine gas oil, no government service taxes or VAT and a helpful, understanding customs service.

Lying just 20 miles off France's Normandy coast, the island is an extremely short distance from the major shipping lanes that run through the English Channel. Guernsey is in fact the most northerly island that has the capability to accept superyachts into its harbours. The island boasts superlative transport links, with daily flights to Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow airports as well as regular ferry services to France and the UK: these amenities allow for the most rapid and efficient crew changes.

Bachmann Group's office lies just 100m from St Peter Port Harbour. The premises are operated by more than 40 staff who, like all of the people of Guernsey, friendly, welcoming and ready to help you enjoy your visit to its maximum potential. • Immigration and Customs. We design and deliver a suite of customised consulting services to help you deal with temporary importation, charter regulations, imports and exports, clearance and navigational laws. Guernsey is part of the Common Border Agreement between the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, Ireland and the UK, meaning that crew and/or guests joining a vessel through Guernsey will enjoy a smooth, seamless transition. 
• Provisioning. With some of the best restaurants in the British Isles, Guernsey is a gourmet's paradise. Our team can source products of exquisite quality from local vendors before delivering them direct to your yacht's galley for you to enjoy.
• Bunkers. Bachmann Group have strong links with fuel distributors based on the island. This means that we can arrange to supply your vessel with fuel at a time which suits you and at an extremely competitive price.
