General Cargo Master

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Master to take command of a 870 GT Cement Carrier vessel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional navigational skills, and experience in managing dry bulk or cement carrier operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Full command responsibility for vessel navigation, safety, and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and port requirements
- Oversee cargo operations specific to cement handling systems
- Previous working relationship with European and Foreign Crew
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate with shore management, charterers, and port authorities
- Ensure vessel readiness for inspections, audits, and PSC checks
- Working knowledge and experience with the MCA
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Master Mariner (STCW II/2) license or Equivalent CeC
- Minimum 2–3 years experience as Master or Chief Officer on cement carriers or dry bulk vessels
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic cement handling systems (preferred)
- Valid STCW certificates, PST, FP&FF, PSSR (if held)
- ENG 1 unlimited
- PSC&RB
- Medical Care/ Medical First Aid
- Advanced Firefighting
- Ships Security Officer (if held)
- ARPA
- ECDIS
- GMDSS
- UKLAP
- Valid Passport
- Valid Discharge Book
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
- Strong safety mindset and familiarity with ISM/ISPS procedures
