Marine Operative

Bachmann Recruitment are looking for a Marine Operative for a Permanent Contract.

Based at Tilbury Port, operating in a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. This is a UK shore-based role. On-site accommodation is provided during your working rotation. Candidates do not need to reside in the UK but must have a valid Right to Work in the UK.

The role involves daily safe movement and berthing of vessels, berth preparation, marine structure maintenance, and compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code. The Marine Department also works with Technical Services to manage waste collection, recycling, and other port services.

Small port or vessel experience would be an advantage.

Certificates/­Requirements:

• Valid ENG1 or ML5 Medical Certificate

• Physically fit

• Any of the following would be an advantage:
  - Able Seaman CoC
  - Efficient Deck Hand CoC
  - MOD (Navy) Qualifications
  - Other formal marine qualification
  - Experience in a marine or port environment
